WE'RE HIRING A SOCIAL MEDIA + GROWTH TRACTION INTERN!
(AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU.)
Wholesale In a Box is a new, small, and growing company. Our product is a subscription product that helps makers (like folks you might see on Etsy) get their work into stores. We value being in service to our customers, working hard and being nice, and creating something beautiful each day. We help our makers to grow their businesses and pursue their dreams. You can see more at wholesaleinabox.com.
A reality of our company right now is that we’re changing fast, growing fast, and learning on the fly. That means that our team members need to be able to adapt, problem-solve, deal with some amount of ambiguity, and stay positive and solutions-oriented when things are challenging.
About the Social Media and Growth Traction Intern we're looking for:
This is a unique role in that it combines writing and scheduling social media posts and doing traction tests, as well some support for creating educational material for our customers. We are looking for someone who can collaborate with us to write social media posts and pull quotes from our blog content to promote, as well as editing blog posts.
In addition, we are constantly running traction tests to determine what growth channels we need to focus on for our growth strategy. The second half of your job will be collaborating with the team to determine which of those we should test -- as well as designing, executing and assessing those tests. This could range from a Facebook Ad campaign to editing the website’s content to researching blogs that would be good cross-promotional partners.
In addition to the skills listed in this job description, you'll also need to be able to learn new software -- we'll show you how they work, but it's likely you won't have used them before. We're looking for someone who has excellent written and spoken English skills, is good at quickly gathering information online in a thoughtful way, and is detail-oriented. We're looking for someone who is excited to learn new skills and get better over time -- and who is great at communicating with a team on successes and challenges in the work. You need to be able to quickly and accurately use Google Docs, Google Calendar, Excel (and similar levels of software), and have strong research skills.
A strong writer. A professional, warm, effective writer and communicator.
Solutions-minded. Constantly looking for things that are out of place or could be improved and coming up with ideas to improve them.
Culturally sophisticated. You’re have a knack and “gut sense” for trends in fashion, design and handmade products and are excited and interested to learn more.
Detail oriented. To you, the small things are important and you take pride in getting them right.
Self-directed. You can teach yourself you to do a Facebook Ads test in an afternoon.
Willing to learn. Naturally a reader, you are excited to learn about different traction channels and the world of makers.
